Calificadas App
Calificadas is a virtual coach designed to empower Spanish-speaking women in the workplace by helping them develop communication and leadership skills.
In 2021, the team approached me to transform their business idea into a digital product to qualify for investment programs.
I collaborated with them on product discovery, working through workshops, prototypes, and user testing to define their vision and prioritize features. Using insights from this phase, we designed and launched an MVP fundraising app, enabling Calificadas to secure a spot in the prestigious 18th 500Latam batch.

UX Product Manager
In this project, I took on a hybrid role, adapting to the various phases of the product lifecycle:
- Initial Phase: Research and Definition
- We collaborated with the client to transform their business idea into a functional prototype.
- Conducted user research to identify pain points and key needs.
- Using the insights gathered, we defined the product’s requirements and core features, creating a roadmap for the information architecture and user journey design.
- MVP Delivery
- Refined the initial prototype and delivered an MVP, enabling the client to access the 500 Latam organizational development program.
- This milestone secured funding and initial product validation.
- First B2C Version
- With the funding obtained, we moved forward with the first full version of Calificas App, tailored to a B2C business model.
- Enhanced features and optimized the user experience.
- Evolution to B2B
- The project grew to include a B2B platform, allowing companies to offer the product to their employees.
- This transition involved designing new features and reorganizing the platform to meet the needs of a broader market.
Project Impact
- Enabled the client to access a key early-stage funding program (500 Latam), strengthening their organizational structure and ensuring continued development.
- Contributed to the growth of Calificas App from an initial prototype to a functional and scalable platform, achieving market fit validation.
